Aluminium foil has countless uses, especially in the kitchen. We use it to preserve, cook and keep food warm or cool. There are a few other uses for it in the kitchen and other places around the house.
1. Keep your left over pizza fresh
Nothing is better than left over pizza for breakfast, except if the pizza has gone stale and soggy overnight. To prevent this, wrap each individual slice of pizza in aluminium foil and leave it in the refrigerator for the night. The next morning, when you wake up ravenous, reheat the pizza in the microwave or oven and enjoy your fresh, crunchy breakfast!
2. Sharpen you blunt scissors
Blunt scissors are useless. That is why sharpening your scissors with aluminium foil is very convenient. No need to buy new scissors multiple times a year; instead, just cut a piece of foil a few times with your blunt scissors and your they will be sharpened.
3. Use as a reflector for photographs
If you are a (not-so-rich) photographer in the making, you can make your very own reflector from cardboard and aluminium foil. Aluminium foil reflects light therefore your pictures can have cost effective light effects.
4. Use as a scrubbing brush
If you have dirty, greasy dishes, aluminium foil can be rolled into a small (Ping-Pong sized) ball and used –in the place of steel wool- to scrub dirt, grime and grease off your dishes.
5. Use as a ice-cream catcher
A child (or even certain adults) eating an ice-cream cone can be a very messy activity. The cone usually weakens before it is eaten causing the ice-cream to MESS EVERYWHERE. You can use foil to cover the bottom of ice-cream cones to prevent mess.
